Verdict. On the totals checked on 6 November 2026, CometVPN asks for less money today on the 1-month, 12-month and 24-month checkouts. NordVPN’s recorded 12-month and 24-month plans include extra months, then renew at US$139.08 a year. That is a price and published-feature comparison, not a test of speed or streaming.

Which costs less over 12 months?
CometVPN. The 12-month checkout with coupon COMET20 showed US$24.00 upfront on 6 November 2026, and the offer included 1 extra month, so the access period is 13 months. NordVPN’s recorded 12-month offer is US$74.85 upfront for 15 months of access. Both figures are the amount due at the start, not a promise of the same bill next year.
CometVPN’s coupon checkout did not publish the price charged when that term renews. NordVPN’s recorded renewal after the introductory term is US$139.08 a year. A lower first bill is not the same as a lower second bill.
Which costs less over 24 months?
CometVPN again, on the first checkout. Coupon COMET30 showed US$31.75 upfront. The plan is 24 months billed plus 3 extra months, so the card uses 27 months of access when it calculates the effective monthly price. It is not a 24-month rate. NordVPN’s recorded 24-month plan is also 27 months of access, at US$94.23 upfront.
Dividing CometVPN’s US$31.75 by 24 would overstate the monthly cost of the months you actually receive. This site divides by 27. The same rule is used for NordVPN.
Which is better for streaming?
We have not run a streaming test, so this page does not name a winner. NordVPN publishes the larger network in this comparison: 9,300+ servers in 137+ countries. CometVPN states that obfuscated servers are included and that residential IP addresses are a paid add-on. A larger published network is not proof that a particular show will play.
What each company states, and what we checked
Checked on the CometVPN checkout opened by the deal link on 6 November 2026: US$8.99 for 1 month with COMET10, US$24.00 for the 12-month plan with COMET20 plus 1 month, and US$31.75 for the 24-month plan with COMET30 plus 3 months. The checkout also stated a 30-day money-back guarantee. CometVPN states unlimited devices, WireGuard, a kill switch, and no activity logs. Those product claims were not independently tested here.
NordVPN’s affiliate checkout did not return a price on 6 November 2026, so the NordVPN column uses the last recorded public totals: US$14.99 for 1 month, US$74.85 for 15 months of access, and US$94.23 for 27 months of access, with renewal at US$139.08 a year. NordVPN states 10 devices, 9,300+ servers in 137+ countries, and independent no-logs audits. This site has not repeated those audits or measured speed, latency, DNS leaks, the kill switch, or streaming.
Choose CometVPN if…
Choose CometVPN if the amount due today is the main question and unlimited devices, as CometVPN states them, are enough. On the three checkouts above, CometVPN’s upfront total is lower. Read the renewal on the payment page before you rely on the coupon price for a second term, because that renewal was not printed on the checkout we opened.
Choose NordVPN if…
Choose NordVPN if you want the larger published server list and you accept the higher upfront total and the US$139.08 yearly renewal after the intro term. Do not choose it from this page because of a speed or streaming score. We have not published one.
