Privacy Policy
Best VPN Finder explains what this website collects, how advertising and affiliate links use information, and how to contact us.
Last updated: 6 November 2026.
Who we are
Best VPN Finder is an independent comparison website about third-party VPN services. We do not sell VPN subscriptions and we do not operate a VPN network. This policy covers the pages on this website, including the comparison, the blog, the quiz, and the contact page.
Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected] or through the Contact Us page. We do not publish a postal address. Email is the contact method for privacy requests.
Information you give us
You can use the comparison, guides, reviews, and recommendation quiz without creating an account. The quiz answers stay in your browser for that visit. We do not ask you to register, and we do not ask for a VPN password.
If you email us, or if you use the contact form, we receive the address you write from, your name if you include one, and the message itself. We use that only to reply, to correct a price or a broken link, and to keep a copy of the thread for as long as we need it to handle the request. Please do not send payment card numbers, passwords, or a copy of someone else’s identity document.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the server and our hosting provider may record technical data when you open a page. That can include your IP address, browser type, device type, language, referring page, the pages you open, and the time of the request. Hosting logs are used to keep the site online, diagnose errors, and block abuse such as automated scraping that overloads the server.
We do not use that log data to build a profile of the sites you visit through a VPN, because this website is not the VPN. Once you leave for a provider’s checkout, that provider’s own policy applies to the account and payment details you enter there.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a site or an ad partner stores on your device. This site may use cookies and similar technologies, such as local storage, for three kinds of purpose:
Essential cookies keep the site working, for example remembering a choice in the current session or protecting the form from repeated submissions. Preference storage, if used, remembers a display setting on your device. Advertising and measurement cookies, described below, are set by us or by partners such as Google when ads are shown.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop some parts of the site, or the ads, from working as intended. Browser manufacturers also offer a “do not track” or similar signal. There is no single industry response to that signal, so turning it on does not by itself switch off advertising cookies.
Google advertising and analytics
We may show advertising through Google AdSense or similar Google advertising products so the site can stay free to read. Google and its partners may use cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the Internet. Those cookies help show ads that may be more relevant, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure whether an ad was viewed.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendor cookies for personalized ads by visiting aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu.
If a Google measurement product is enabled later, it may collect pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and device information to report how the site is used. That data is used in aggregate to see which guides are useful. It is not sold by us as a mailing list.
Affiliate links
Some “Unlock Deal” buttons go to a VPN provider through an affiliate or partner link. The link can include a reference code or a coupon so the provider knows the visit came from this site. If you buy a plan, we may earn a commission. The provider, not Best VPN Finder, processes the payment and receives the name, email, and payment details you enter on their checkout. Read their privacy policy before you create an account.
We do not receive your card number from those checkouts. We may receive an aggregate or order-level report from the affiliate network, such as that a plan was purchased, so the commission can be paid. That report is used to operate the partnership, not to advertise other products back to you by email unless you wrote to us first.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate and secure the website, answer email, correct published prices, understand which comparisons people use, show and measure advertising, pay or reconcile affiliate commissions, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent an email list.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept while the question is open and for a short period afterwards in case you follow up, then deleted or reduced to a note that a correction was made. Server logs are kept for the period our host retains them, which is typically long enough to investigate abuse and no longer than needed for that purpose. Cookie lifetimes are set by the browser and by the advertising partner. You can clear them yourself at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information with service providers who host the site, deliver email, or serve ads, and only so they can perform that work. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the site and its visitors from fraud or abuse. Affiliate networks receive the fact of a referral as described above. We do not share your contact email with a VPN provider unless you asked us to pass a correction along and we tell you we are doing so.
Children
This website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The comparisons are written for adults choosing a paid subscription. If you believe a child has emailed us, contact [email protected] and we will delete that message.
Your choices
You may ask what contact information we hold from your emails, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond to requests sent to [email protected]. You can also control cookies and personalized ads with the links in the advertising section and with your browser settings. Leaving this site for a VPN checkout is your choice. Closing the tab does not cancel a subscription you already bought from a provider.
International visitors
The site is available on the public internet. Hosting and advertising partners may process technical data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those partners describe their own safeguards in their policies. If you write to us, your message is handled by email.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site, the affiliate links, or the advertising tools change. The date at the top of this page is the latest version. Continued use of the site after a change means you are using it under the updated policy. A material change to how we use contact email will be reflected on this page before we rely on it.
